By the end of the unit children will:

  • Be more familiar with all three Mini Musicians songs.
  • Have had opportunities to sing alone.
  • Play simple chime bar melodies following colour and/or letter patterns.
  • Demonstrate they can feel the beat by performing movements to music.
  • Be introduced to rhythm syllables ‘ta’ and ‘te-te’ and begin to recognise these in songs, chants and music.
  • Know the difference between beat and rhythm.
