By the end of the unit children will:
- Play simple chime bar melodies following colour and/or letter patterns.
- Become more familiar with rhythm syllables ‘ta’ and ‘te-te’ and begin to recognise these in songs, chants and music.
- Be introduced to rhythm notation for ‘ta’ (crotchet) and ‘te-te’ (quaver)
- Know the difference between beat and rhythm.
