Smuggler’s lullaby

Arranged by Leonora Davies.

This is a gentle ‘story’ song with a beautiful Gaelic chorus. A mother sings a lullaby to her baby, but actually she is giving a sinister warning to her husband – a smuggler – that the ‘excise men’ (the department that collects a fee for goods brought into the country) are looking for him.
